mixedbyricky was built from a lifelong obsession with the way records feel, not just how they sound.
Ricky grew up surrounded by music, from rock, metal, pop, R&B, rap, reggae, ballads, cumbias, salsa, bolero, jazz, blues, bossa nova, orchestral, and rock en español. At some point, certain albums started hitting differently: the warmth, the impact, the clarity, the depth, and the feel. After years of digging through CD booklets, videos, articles, forums, school, bands, touring, recording, producing, and teaching, it all came back to one thing: mixing.
Today, mixedbyricky focuses on helping artists turn bedroom, garage, and home-studio recordings into songs that feel polished, powerful, emotional, and competitive without losing what made them special in the first place.
